ForeverScout

A small, read-only addon that records how you level: quests, XP, where things are and how long each one took. Your logs replace our estimates with real numbers.

Install

  1. Add the addon

    Download ForeverScout-x.y.z.zip and unzip the ForeverScout folder into your Forever client's Interface\AddOns\ folder.

  2. Log in and choose sharing

    You'll see "ForeverScout: recording your route." Pick Share automatically if you want your log sent for you.

  3. Install the uploader (optional)

    From the same release, run ForeverScoutUploader.exe (Mac builds are there too) and choose Yes. It sends your log after each logout or /reload.

  4. Play normally

    That's all. Type /fscout any time to see what's been recorded.

No uploader? Zip WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT>\SavedVariables\ForeverScout.lua from your Forever folder and attach it to a Submit a log issue.

What it records

Recorded

  • Quests accepted, turned in and abandoned, with the NPC and your position
  • XP gained and where it came from: quest, kill (mob and level) or other
  • Objective progress, like "Mottled Boar slain: 3/10"
  • Items you loot (green or better, or any gear) and which NPC or chest dropped them, so the BIS planner knows where Forever's new items come from
  • Your position about every 10 seconds while moving, plus flights, deaths and hearthstones
  • Class, race, faction, level and game build

Never recorded

  • Character name, realm, account name or GUID. Each character gets a random ID that never leaves your computer.
  • Chat, whispers or other players
  • Gold, bag contents or anything outside questing and loot

ForeverScout only reads what the game shows you. It never plays, clicks or automates anything.
